Situational Faith

Faith check 1, 2, 1, 2? Hows your faith lately???

 Hello beautiful VWOGs!! Last night God talked to me about my faith level. To sum it up let me pose a question to you; what if your next blessing or that one thing you are praying for was sitting in the spirit realm waiting on you to just have faith that its coming, could your faith get your blessing here? Lets go to the Bible of examples:

- the man with leprosy, they ask Jesus and was healed (ten men had leprosy and were isolated and treated like scum. They had enough faith in the healing power that when they saw Jesus they cried out and ask Him to have mercy on them)
  "Rise and Go; your faith has  made you well" Luke 17:19

- woman with the issue of blood, was healed by her touching Him (a woman who had been bleeding for 12 years who was exiled from her family and everything she knew had enough faith in Jesus and His power, she thought if I can just touch His cloak, I will be healed. She didnt even want to ask. She fought through a crowd of people who were surrounding Him who were "worthy" and "clean" to just touch Him. Now that is a tough situation but she used her Faith to help her fight through and touched Him.)
  "take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you" Matthew 9:22

- the dead girl, raised from the dead (a father went and ask Jesus to come to his home because his daughter had died. The man ask Jesus to just come and put your hand on her and she will live. Jesus went in and said she is not dead but asleep, He touched her and she got up. Her fathers Faith that Jesus could just touch her and make her live again, did just that.
  -Matthew 9:23-25

Ok well those are just healing. What if healing is not your problem? ok well for time sake im just going to name a few:

-Hannah: couldnt have kids but was promised a child. You are praying and trying for a child and your "competition is just popping them out left and right, and picking with you because you cant. Even though God told you its coming. Could you still believe Him?

-Noahs wife: had to have faith in God. Just imagine your mate out there using all your resources to build and arc because he said God told him to but it hasnt rained in forever. Where would your faith be?

-Sara and Abraham: God told Sara she would bare a child, and after several decades later....nothing. God made Abraham the father of many nations (bet that wasnt what Abraham thought He meant by being a father) What if Abraham had given up and said I guess God didnt want me to have a child of my own? Issac wouldnt have been BORN to them.
 
While I could go on and on, for those who still dont see what im talking about lets compare to real life. Now  Let me break it down further for you. If your faith determines your blessings, could that be why your still waiting on that blessing? Now a lot of us will say "everything happens in Gods time" or "if it be the will of the Lord" or "it didnt happen so maybe God blocked it because He knew it wasnt right". Am i right? Well maybe I am wrong but I believe that sometimes God just wants to know that you will believe and trust in Him even when it doesnt look like its going to work out. When you are praying for money so your lights dont get cut off and its now the date that is printed on that red disconnect letter, where is your faith? When you are waiting on that refund check to pay your rent for the month and the business office tells you they are waiting another week to cut checks, where is your faith? Or maybe when you are on your last $10 and you get in your car and your gas light is on, where is your faith? or maybe your believing for a job, a car, a Husband, a child or peace of mind, WHERE IS YOUR FAITH? One of the greatest Young Adult Pastors in this area Adrian Davis sent out a message the other day that ask "Have you prayed about it, as much as you talked about it?" So....Have you? Most of us will call our besties and have community meetings on why I dont have what I want, but what if you prayed about it or called them and ask them to pray with you instead of listen  to you complain. Do you not realize you are complaining about something that God wants you to have. WE HAVE TO STOP THIS. So as I leave you today I am begging you not to allow your situation to determine your faith, but allow your Faith to determine your situation.

This Little Light of Mine

Hello all you VWOGs! Do you remember singing this old church song when you were little?
"this little light of mine, I'm going to
let it shine. Let it shine, let it shine,
let it shine"
We all remember that one right? Well let me pose a question; did you let your light shine? For many of us it was simply a church song, that we sang because everyone else did. Well while reading and studying my Bible God led me to John 8:12 MSG
Jesus once again addressed them: "I
am the world's Light. No one who
follows me stumbles around in the
darkness. I provide plenty of light to
live in."

YAY👏 God is the light and every thing is great, we aren't living in sin, we are spreading the love and word of God To everyone! Right? Wrong!! How do I know, well 1) I'm alive and living in the world 2) this passage followed the above, turn to 1 John 1:6-7:
If God is the light and we say
we're with Him and He is in us then
why are we stumbling around in the
dark.If we claim that we experience
a shared life with him and continue
to stumble around in the dark, we're
obviously lying through our teeth-
we're not living what we claim. But if
we walk in the light, God himself
being the light, we also experience a
shared life with one another, as the
sacrificed blood of Jesus, God's Son,
purges all our sin.

WHOA!!! So A lot of us are walking around sinning or sinning and worshiping (simultaneously) these are who i call worldly christians, keeping the word of God to ourselves, or only sharing it with other believers! Well how much good does shining light into a lit room do? None! But when you take the light of God and put it into darkness: lives are renewed, seasons change, healing takes place, souls are saved, miracles happen, mountains move, there are no limits to what God (the light) can do! So I beg you to let that light in you shine, whether it's the size if a single match or a stadium beam your light will make a difference!

Havel what's the goal for the week? Right, same thing as every week! Try and take over the world! Be blessed and I love you and So does GOD!!

That thing called LOVE????

Hello beautiful VWOG, I pray this finds you all well. Todays blog comes from Love and all the misconceptions. As an American culture we throw around love like its a used wash towel or an old shoe, when its dirty or worn we just toss it in the washer in attempt to bring it back to life or we pass it to the next like a shirt at a yard sale (priced below value) or we toss it out. What is this thing called Love? Is it a person, a noun, verb, feeling or emotion? What is it? Well to most of us its sex, a brief feeling that last until we feel betrayed or disappointed! Or a romanticized display of emotions that are conditioned based. Is that real love?  Its so cliche but let's see what God says love is.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
                        -1 Corinthians 13:4-7

As I said for most of us this passage is cliche (even though we don't live by it) so let's bring it to our life. Reread the scripture above BUT this time everywhere it says love insert your name. So it would be like :
  
VWOG is patient, VWOG is kind. THEY do not envy, They do not boast, They are not proud. They do not dishonor others, They are not self-seeking, they are not easily angered, they keep no record of wrongs. VWOG does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. They always protect, always trust, always hope, always persevere.

Hmmmm....dont you feel like we missed the mark.  Yeah, me too. Now go back and do it again but replace love with God. Wow, right. Doesn't that make you feel excited, kind of special! Everyday we strive to be more like God so everyday we take His hand and allow Him to show us what love is. So what is love, that's easy. God is love, and there is no love without GOD.

Oh My Dogs are Barking!!!

Hello beautiful VWOG!!! I know this an odd title but let me tell you that the way God showed me was even more odd. Have you ever been wearing a new pair of heels for the first time? You know that moment where you think "my toes are numb, the ball of my foot feels like pins" and you start dreaming of ways to find relief. Maybe if you lean your foot to the side, undo some of the straps, untie or unzip it, squiggle your toes around a bit, that maybe just maybe you can find relief and still remain cute. Ever felt this way??? Well Sunday night I did, I had on a new pair of heels and they were at that point I was dreaming of ways to escape the pain so I didnt have to take them off (while at the event). While I was temporarily distracted from Praise and Worship by my "barking dogs" God said thats how you do me. Instatnly I thought no, thats not right, I love God with all my heart,I reverence Him. That is absurd. Then..... He broke it down to me like this: When the walk with me gets tough, you wiggle around (become impatient) try to step away just a little (flirt with things you know are not of me) without completely coming out of your walk with me. I thought hmm..whoops! How often do we try and make our Christian walk more about us, to fit us, forgetting IT IS ABOUT HIM AND HIM ONLY. There is a song called Heart of Worship by Michael W. Smith. The words are:

"When the music fades, All is stripped away And I simply come, Longing just to bring
Something that's of worth, That will bless Your heart
I'll bring You more than a song,
For a song in itself Is not what You have required,
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear, You're looking into my heart

Lets come together In Prayer

Matthew 18:20 says
"Where there are two or more gathered in my name, there too I will be."

VWOG there so many people that need our prayers. So if you would let's pray together and move some of these mountains in our lives as well as our brothers and sisters in Christ! If you will put the name of the person and what your praying for as a comment ! I truly believe we can change situations and circumstances with prayer!

Do YOU know who I am?

We are at war!!!!!

Morning Beautiful VWOG! Earlier this morning as I was praying God showed me were at war! Later As I was praying for a scripture Lev 19:16 came on the radio(WAFM)!

     "Don't spread gossip and rumors.     "Don't just stand by when your. 
       neighbor's life is in danger. I am.
       God (MSG)

He showed me that while at war we are responsible for our brothers! In war there are the believers against the non believers! We fight to save souls they fight to stay where they are, also we as Christians get caught up in the quantity  try and win souls over for the numbers  they fight with their hearts to stand up for what they hold to be true(quality)  Then He broke it down to me like this...picture these two sides at war in front of us! As they charge each other half of our team disappears(people who are not completely sold out) how are we to win if half our team abandons us for whatever reason (I.e:fear, shame, regret, hiding,sin) And the lives we lose are on us. How often do we say that "I told them but I can't make them change", "I tried" or my favorite "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink" STOP THE SHENANIGANS! We are all very persuasive when we want to be!! Although to some extent every person should want to know God for themselves, as role models, moms,aunts,daughters, cousins and friends we all have some level of influence! Use it for God! With that being said whats our goal for this week? Right, same thing as every week...try and take over the world! I love you all!
